Alterations FAQs

Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes! Upon receipt of your appointment request I will get back to you with my availability and get you booked in for your first fitting!

How long do appointments last?

Typically, appointments last for 30 minutes - 1 hour. Please try to arrive to your appointment on time.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

There is no deposit required for alterations unless I need to order something for you, for example, extra fabric, buttons etc. Full payment is only required before you take your dress away with you.

Wedding Day Seamstress FAQs

Do you travel to my home or venue on the wedding morning?

Yes — I come to you. Whether you’re getting ready at home, a hotel, or your venue, I’ll be there to support you and your bridal party.

What kinds of emergency repairs can you help with?

I can assist with most last‑minute issues, including loose buttons, broken loops, tricky zips, fallen straps, small tears, bustle problems, and general fit concerns. My aim is to keep everything looking perfect.

Can you help dress my bridesmaids and mums too?

Absolutely. This service is for the whole bridal party — bridesmaids, mums, flower girls, or anyone who needs a little extra support.

Do you bring your own tools and equipment?

Yes. I bring a small kit with everything needed for emergency repairs, plus a handheld steamer for smoothing gowns and veils.

How long do you stay on the morning?

This depends on your needs. Some brides prefer support just for dressing, while others like me to stay until they leave for the ceremony. We can tailor the timing to suit your day.

Do I need to have my alterations done by you to book this service?

Not at all. This service is available to all brides, whether or not I’ve altered your gown.



How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you can — wedding mornings book up quickly, especially during peak season. Early booking ensures I can reserve your date.

Accessories FAQ's

Can I get any accessories from you?

YES!! As I work for a veil manufacturer, I can borrow some veils that will best enhance your dress and order for you. I do not have other accessories available to look at but I work with a few suppliers that I can order accessories from for you. This includes belts, tiaras and jewellery.
